Country context
Law 34(I)/2019 as amended by Law 9(I)/2020 requires every self-service villa, house or apartment on the Deputy Ministry of Tourism Register (special label + registration number on listings) before advertising. Hotels need an operating licence. Guest particulars must be captured before access; Aliens Reg. 37 can require 48-hour notice for lodging aliens (hotel-manager proviso). Cyprus is EU but not Schengen. Scope: Republic of Cyprus only.
Remote arrival works when guest particulars for the guest record (and Reg. 37 notice where applicable) are captured before access. Self-Service registration or a hotel operating licence is a separate prerequisite — an e-check-in flow does not replace it. Do not store passport copies.
