Country context
Cap. 217 art. 31 requires keepers of lodging for reward to keep a guest register for non-exempt persons (signed statements, two-year retention, Police / Principal Immigration Officer inspection). Short-lets need prior MTA authorisation under Cap. 409 / S.L. 409.24. From 1 July 2026 the eco-contribution is €1.50 per adult night (cap €22.50 per person per visit).
Remote arrival works when Cap. 217 register particulars and signed statements are complete before door codes or lockbox instructions unlock — airport timing is not an exemption.
